Client: Leonardslee Gardens

BSE3D worked with Leonardslee Gardens on the creation of Leonardslee House, a 10-bedroom luxury hotel set within the upper floor of the Grade II listed country house. Our expert team visited the site to carry out a thorough survey of the full existing MEP installation to provide the client with a comprehensive condition survey report. The condition survey identified the existing services systems, their age, condition, anticipate remaining service life and any faults identified and their recommended remedial actions.

Using the considerations of this survey we produced an energy strategy and MEP feasibility report. The two reports identified the different options available on the market suitable that were sympathetic to the constraints of the heritage Grade II listed property and land. Our team then progressed the client chosen MEP design strategy.

By working closely with the architect and interior designer, a detailed design package was produced, in line with both the current regulations and the luxury and detailed aesthetics of the Sussex property. Although the bespoke suites are set in historic grounds, the heritage property was upgraded through the use of LED lighting, efficient lighting control and new, more efficient heat generation plant.
