The team attended REBUILD 2026 at IFEMA Madrid, Europe’s leading event for industrialised construction. The event brought together more than 30,000 professionals from across architecture, engineering, development, and technology to examine where the built environment is heading.

Then data itself! The data available is vast, and it’s about how it can be used to improve building performance, reduce energy use and enhance user experience with technology.

There are key aspects that are shaping projects from inception. Energy efficiency, building performance, digital infrastructure and operational resilience are defining new buildings.

Data Cloud Middle East, held last week in Dubai, our MD Phil was part of a panel at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. Once again proved to be a key gathering for leaders shaping the future of digital infrastructure across the region. The event brought together data centre operators, designers, investors, and technology providers to explore how the Middle East continues to position itself as a global hub for cloud, AI, and hyperscale development.

With strong attendance and a packed agenda, the conference reflected the pace and ambition of growth across regional markets.

Discussions throughout the event focused on scalability, resilience, and the increasing sophistication of data centre design in response to evolving workloads.
